The army inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorist group's members, killing and wounding most of them, a military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency, adding some terrorists however managed to flee back into Lebanon.
An army unit carried out "a precise operation" in al-Dmeineh al-Sharqiyeh town which resulted in killing numbers of insurgents and destroying their weapons and ammunition, according to the source.
The source also mentioned that units of the armed forces repelled rebels' attempts to attack some military points near al-Dar al-Kabireh area in Homs outskirts.
Some vehicles belonged to rebels were destroyed near al-Daba'a area in al-Qusseir by the Syrian military forces, said the source.
The army killed all members of an armed group in the village of al-Buwaida al-Sharqiya in al-Qusseir countryside, destroying their weapons and equipment.
Nawwaf Alwin, a Saudi called Nour Jebril sl-Shummari, an Iraqi called Melhem al-Jabbouri, Turki al-Taleb, and Ala'a Bakkour were among the killed terrorists in military operations carried out by the Syrian army.
