The Syrian army tightened its control over Damascus-Homs Highway near Harasta city after raiding rebels there.
Meantime, the Syrian army clashed with an armed group in the neighboring farms near al-Miliha town, killing a large number of insurgents, an official source told the Syrian Arab News Agency, adding another army unit targeted an anti-government fighters' gathering in al-Shifonia town outskirts.
The source pointed out that two heavy machineguns were destroyed in the Eastern part of al-Zabadani city, killing 20 fighters from so-called "Ahrar al-Sham battalion".
In Wadi Barada, clashes erupted between the Syrian army and armed groups. The army killed several terrorists and destroyed their equipment.
In Jobar town, the army units took control over al-Afran and al-Masalekh neighborhoods after killing scores of insurgents.
Several Units of the Syrian army also clashed with rebels in Barzeh and al-Nabek districts, killing and wounding scores of them.
