There is ample research documenting that sodas are associated with aggression, depession, and suicidal thoughts. The August issue of the Journal of Pediatrics confirms this association in 5 year old kids. There was a dose related relationship showing that those kids consuming 4 or more soft drinks a day were twice as likely to destroy things belonging to others, get into fights, and physically attack people. They also had increased problems with attention and withdrawal behavior.

Making matters even worse, soft drinks are generally sweetened with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). HFCS provides empty calories, meaning that it can make energy (ATP) but as it does it depletes our cells of the nutrients needed in the process (this is what an anti-nutrient is defined as). Fructose also promotes obesity, type 2 diabetes, liver disease, gout, hypertension, heart attacks, strokes, and much more.

Yep, and it tastes good and our kids like it so much that they become addicted to it.
