Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has blasted at Israeli regime for committing "state terrorism" in its deadly offensive on the impoverished Gaza Strip.
"Israel is continuing to carry out state terrorism in the region. Nobody, except us, tells it to stop," Erdogan told members of his party in parliament.
Israel is perpetrating a "massacre" of Palestinians, Erdogan said.
Erdogan’s comments come as the death toll from the Israeli regime’s offensive against Gaza civilians rose to 192. More than a quarter of those killed are children according to a UN official.
"To what extent will the world remain silent to this state terrorism?" Erdogan said.
Erdogan is due to host Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in Turkey for talks on Friday.
Despite international calls for an end to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Tel Aviv regime was hitting Gaza “with growing force” and that there was no end in sight.
The Israeli military has called up thousands of reservists for an all-out invasion of the Gaza Strip. Hamas has warned that it is prepared to hit back at Israeli forces if the Tel Aviv regime launches a ground attack against Gaza.
