Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan says the Israeli regime will drown in the blood it sheds in Palestine.
Addressing thousands of his supporters at an election rally in Istanbul on Sunday ahead of the country’s August 10 presidential vote, Erdogan said the Israelis “kill women so that they will not give birth to Palestinians; they kill babies so that they won’t grow up; they kill men so they can’t defend their country.”
“They will drown in the blood they shed,” said the Turkish premier, who is also a presidential candidate for his Justice and Development Party.
Erdogan also said the Israeli regime is following in the footsteps of Nazi Germany leader Adolf Hitler by committing ethnic killing.
In another speech last week, Erdogan had compared Israel to Nazi Germany and said the genocide in Gaza is reminiscent of Hitler’s crimes, saying, “What is the difference between what Nazis and Hitler did and what this Israeli administration is doing now?”
Erdogan’s criticism of Israel comes despite the fact that Ankara and Tel Aviv have diplomatic relations and other exchanges, particularly in the military field.
The Turkish premier also denounced the West for its double standards with regard to the crimes across the globe, slamming the Western countries for remaining silent on the Israeli crimes.
More than 1,822 people, including 400 children, have been killed and over 9,400 injured since July 8, when the Israeli regime began its offensive against the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian resistance fighters continue their rocket attacks against Israeli cities in retaliation for the Tel Aviv regime’s relentless onslaught on the blockaded Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military says three Israeli civilians and 64 soldiers have been killed in the conflict, but Palestinian resistance movement Hamas puts the fatalities at more than 150.
