Syrian Army operations against foreign-backed insurgents have continued in full swing, leading to the elimination of scores of armed elements, including non-Syrian terrorists, as well as the destruction of many of their armed vehicles and military hardware.
Units of the armed forces carried out a series of intensive operations throughout Thursday against insurgent hideouts and positions in Jouber area in Damascus Countryside, killing many intruding terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition, state news agency SANA reported, adding that the military campaign around Joubar is still continuing.
According to the report, an army unit also destroyed a workshop used by the insurgent for making explosive devices and killed many terrorists around the site in Khan al-Sheeh neighborhood.
Meanwhile, units of the armed forces killed a number of insurgents and injured others in various areas in the city and countryside of Aleppo, including al-Lairamoun, Tal Raf’at, Kafr Karmin, al-Shaar, Tal Alam, Handarat and the Old City.
According to a military source cited in the report, other units of the armed forces destroyed four cars, killing the terrorists aboard them in Khan al-Assal.
Further in Idleb countryside, government troops killed numerous intruding terrorists and injured others, some of them non-Syrian, in several neighborhoods, in addition to destroying a mortar shell cache and a number of vehicles armed with heavy machine guns.
Citing another military source, SANA also reported that an army unit, aided by popular defense forces, repelled a terrorist attack against military posts in the villages of Talab and al-Debshiyeh in the countryside of the province, killing and injuring many of the armed elements.
The source further added that another army unit killed a number of insurgents, including 16 leaders of armed terror groups that were non-Syrian, and injured others in the vicinity of Serja and Shnan in Jabal al-Zawieh in the countryside, in addition to destroying a number of cars equipped with heavy machine guns and a wireless communications station which the terrorists were using.
Another army unit targeted an insurgent hideout near Beineen village in Jabal al-Zawieh, killing and injuring many terror elements, including non-Syrian intruders, in addition to destroying a mortar shell cache, a number of vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns and two armored.
In Homs countryside meanwhile, units of the army destroyed another terrorist hideout in Um Sharshouh, killing 15 terrorists inside.
Other army units killed scores of insurgents and injured others in al-Waer neighborhood in the city of Homs and in the villages of al-Ghajar, Tallet al-Bado in the direction of Jabbourin-Un Sharshouh, Mas’adeh and Um Seheirij, and al-Shajara Farm near Palmyra in the countryside.
Army units also destroyed a number of hideouts belonging to the ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Mouhessen town and al-Mrei’iyeh village in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, killing many of the terrorists and injuring others.
