1. CDC(미국 질병통제센터)에 따르면, GSK사의 Fluarix 백신에 Polysorbate 80이 함유되어 있음. CDC에서 나온 다음 문서 참조...

3. GSK사에서 제조하는 Fluarix의 커버를 보면, "백신을 투여할 경우 불임 상태가 되지 않으리라고 보장할 수 없다"는 식의 문구가 적혀 있음 (솔직하네요...).
"FLUARIX has not been evaluated for carcinogenic or mutagenic potential, or for impairment of fertility."
하지만 미국에서 작년엔가 통과된 법에 따라, 백신 부작용 따위를 가지고 제조사를 처벌할 수는 없음...^^
위 FDA 문서에서는 "쥐를 대상으로 실험한 결과 Fluarix가 불임을 유발하지 않는다"고 적혀 있고(슬로바키아 과학자들이 뻥쳤나 봅니다), 동시에 FLUARIX가 인간의 불임을 유발하는지 여부에 대해서는 테스트하지 않았다고 얘기합니다...
A reproductive and developmental toxicity study has been performed in female rats at a dose approximately 56 times the human dose (on a mg/kg basis) and revealed no evidence of impaired female fertility or harm to the fetus due to FLUARIX. 4. GSK사 뿐 아니라, Novartis사도 Polysorbate 80이 함유된 MF59를 사용하고 있다는 보도가 있음.
Novartis, for example, announced it is using the adjuvant MF59? in its swine flu vaccine. The MF59? adjuvant is oil-based and contains Tween80, Span85, and squalene.
5. 지난 1999년에 조지아 주립대학에서 "불임을 유발하는 백신"과 관련하여 특허를 냈음.
