We Must Avoid Economic Collapse

The American economy is being destroyed by our inability to manufacture competitively on the global stage, and by our government’s out of control spending. It is crucial that our leaders develop a strategy to get the United States back on the road to economic prosperity, and fast! We are losing too many jobs due to our “free trade” agreements and poor economic policies, leaving us in desperate need of a plan that will foster job creation before our economy collapses completely.

Our government officials need to address the deteriorating industrial base. There must be a strategy in place to spur job creation. Free trade agreements and outsourcing have decimated our manufacturing base. We no longer produce the goods that we need to sustain ourselves. Instead, we import everything. Nearly all of our manufactured goods come from overseas.

Another key topic in need of immediate attention from our elected officials is the devaluation of United States currency. The continued devaluation of the dollar is even more evidence that our economy is teetering on the edge of catastrophe. Banks in Asia and the Middle East continue to be saturated with trillions of U.S. dollars, and a startling number of American companies continue to be sold to foreign interest groups and companies. Our budget deficits and addiction to imports will require printing even more money, leaving us with soaring inflation.

The time for reform is now! Washington needs to acknowledge our problems, study them, and grant them the attention that would typically be given when addressing any other national priority. This would all be possible by promoting profitable manufacturing through incentives, subsidies where needed, and tax law changes. In addition, we must cut back on irresponsible consumption and cease selling our best companies and valuable assets to foreign interests.

When these steps are taken we will have a United States that is more profitable. We will also have a return of U.S.-owned factories and an increase in research and engineering jobs. Spread the word and petition our leaders to address the problems facing our economy. Demand accountability and solutions!
