It's like that mass mind control manual that came to light a few years called "Silent Weapons for a Quiet War: How To Manipulate the Population."
몇 년 전에 공개된 "조용한 전쟁을 치르기 위한 조용한 무기: 대중을 통제하는 방법"이라는 집단 마인드 컨트롤 매뉴얼의 내용과 비슷하죠.
And one of the lines in it said, "Keep them busy, busy, busy back on the farm with the other animals." So that more you can keep them in a state of survival, more and more stress...
그 매뉴얼에 어떤 문구가 있었냐 하면... "그들이 계속 바쁘게 살아가도록 해야 한다. 다른 가축들처럼 매일 매일 바쁘게..." 사람들이 생존 본능에 집착하고, 더욱 스트레스를 받게끔 유도해야 한다는 것이죠...
"Look mate, you might say interesting things, but I live in the real world, mate..."
사람들로 하여금 이런 생각을 하게 만드는 것이죠: "그래 그래, 니가 하는 말 다 흥미롭고 좋은데, 너와는 달리 나는 현실에 거주하는 사람이거든? (이 한심한 녀석아!)"
That's the idea. To keep us in that state of stress, and we're now bringing it to younger and younger people.
이게 바로 그들이 원하는 것입니다. 우리가 계속 스트레스 받으면서 정신 없게 살아가도록 하는 것... 그런데 요즘은 공격 대상의 연령층이 갈수록 낮아지고 있어요.
Kids under tremendous stress to pass exams, to show how indoctrinated they are, the system...
시험을 통과해야 한다는 부담감 때문에 과중한 스트레스를 받으며 살아가는 아이들... 얼마나 세뇌교육을 잘 받았는지 보여줘야 한다는 부담감 때문에... 시스템이 이를 요구하는 것이죠.
"Oh, you must pass those exams!"
"Oh, my son got so and so..."
"얘야, 이번 시험 반드시 통과해야 한다!"
"우리 아들이 이번 시험에 몇 점 받았는지 알아?^^"

자기 자식 시험 잘 봤다고 아예 스티커를 만들어 차에 붙이고 다니는 사람들도 봤습니다. 네, 축하 드립니다...
By the way, he got it, you didn't...
아, 참고로... 그 사람의 자식은 시험을 잘 봤지만, 당신의 자녀는 그러하지 못했다는 의미도 내포되어 있는 문구죠...
This parental, glory-seeking...
자식들을 통해 영광을 맛보려는 부모들...

"이번 시험 반드시 통과해야 해! 앞으로 은행가가 되기 위해서는 말이지... 엄마는 네가 은행가가 되기를 바라고 있단다..."
Pressure, pressure, pressure... whatever happened to life?
압력, 압력, 압력... 인생의 즐거움이라는 것은 도대체 어디로 갔단 말입니까?

These are the measurements of a successful society, surely...
성공적인 사회를 판단하는 기준은 이런 것들이 되어야 하는 것 아닙니까?

And we have the cleverness up to a point, although if we went to wisdom… We would find that technologically, we would advance by enormous strides.

But we have the cleverness through the mind at the moment, to create some amazing technology. Things that could make the world a better place for everybody. But we use that technology to pepper-bomb cities full of civilians.
상당히 놀라운 수준의 기술 발전을 이룩했죠. 이 기술을 잘 활용하면 모든 사람들이 더 행복해질 수도 있을 것입니다. 그런데 지금 그 첨단 기술을 이용해서 폭탄이나 뿌려대고 있어요.
We are now at such a cutting edge of human evolution, that we can kill more people than ever before. And we do...

We're in a world where it seems ok for children to sign their names on bombs, that then drop and kill other children.

Like I say, we think the world is sane, well the people in this room don't but so many people do, when it is utterly insane.

And what keeps people from understanding this? The constant hypnotic trance that we put in.

We live in a world of plenty, and yet people starve for the want of the basics...
우리는 그 어느 때보다 풍족한 세상에 살고 있지만, 삶의 기본적인 요구사항들이 충족되지 않아 굶어 죽는 사람들도 있습니다…
We have food galore in some parts of the world, which comes often from the parts of the world going hungry...
일부 나라에서는 먹을 것이 넘쳐납니다. 그런데 이 많은 음식이 굶어 죽는 나라에서 온 경우도 많이 있습니다.
And we throw away more food, than most people eat in many many months...
우리는 또 어마어마한 양의 음식을 내다 버립니다. 다른 나라의 굶주린 국민들이 몇 달 동안 먹을 수 있는 분량을 말입니다.
I've seen this, I've seen this in Ecuador, people living on rubbish tips, waiting for the vans to come from the western hotels to pour the rubbish food, the thrown away food and they go and eat them for a day from it.
이건 제가 에쿠아도르에서 직접 본 것입니다. 서양인들이 머무르는 호텔에서 내다 버리는 밴이 오기를 기다렸다가, 그 음식으로 끼니를 때우는 사람들…
The world that we allowed to happen...

I don't think it's.. I love sports. But if we are in a situation where that becomes the focus of our reality, at the exclusion of everything else, then while we're looking here, hell is going on here, its stitches up in the way we have been...
스포츠가 나쁘다는 게 아닙니다. 저도 좋아해요. 그런데 현실을 외면하고 그것 하나에만 몰두해서는 안 된다는 겁니다. 주변에서는 생지옥 같은 환경에서 살아가는 사람들이 있는데 말이죠…
